Hamburg Casino at Buffalo Raceway/The Fairgrounds

Hamburg Casino, first known as Fairgrounds and later as Hamburg Casino, opened in 2004 with over 900 video gaming machines. Today it has 940 slot machines for video poker, progressive jackpots, penny slots. You may use cash or tickets in the machines, but they pay out with a ticket you can redeem with the cashier. The casino is the newer portion of this venerable racetrack Buffalo Raceway, where live harness racing runs January thru July, and many other equine competitions happen in the summer. The casino has over 900 slot machines and NY Lottery games. The machines are touchscreen and use paper tickets, include progressives and video poker. There are 16 penny slot games, many of them progressives; 25-cent slots; $1, $5, and $10 slots. This racino is open Monday-Sunday, 8am to 4am.

The property has 3 restaurants including the Midway Buffet; there is the Cyclone Bar for beer, wine or spirits and a big screen for sports watching.
